Eliana Saenz grew up attending 13 different schools across several countries, including Chile and New Zealand. Her father immigrated from Chile and is of Mapuche descent, while her mother’s heritage blends Slovenian, Jewish, and Northwestern European roots. Constantly being the “new girl” sparked a lifelong fascination with people and storytelling. A natural athlete, Eliana has run marathons, trained with an Olympic-level boxing coach, and is an avid cyclist. She was recently featured on The Moth podcast on NPR and lives in Los Angeles with her husband, where they own and operate the Hollywood restaurant Electric Owl.
